Become a climate action leader and amplify the power of your brand. Offset your corporate emissions and expand access to clean energy by building solar projects in American communities that are otherwise getting left behind.
In a post COVID-19 world, position your company to lead the charge in building a healthier, more resilient American economy, starting in the communities that are getting left behind in the clean energy transition. Offer a ray of sunshine and become the leader that the American economy needs following this global crisis.
Clearloop uses solar capacity (measured in watts) as the mechanism to reclaim the carbon emissions from the grid. That means that when you offset your carbon footprint with Clearloop, you are helping to build brand new solar farms. We can achieve deeper, faster carbon emissions reductions by focusing corporate investments to regions of the country with disproportionately carbon-intense electricity. That is why the dirtier the grid we clean up, the more bang you get for your buck.
You've measured your footprint, reduced your emissions, now what happens with the rest? Whether you want to be carbon neutral, carbon negative, climate positive, we can help you reclaim the carbon footprint of all products sold, a new line of products, hard to abate areas, or some other configuration. The dirtier the grid, the more bang you get for your buck.
Don't worry if you haven't measured your footprint yet. You can set a goal around the impact you want to have and then figure out the carbon emissions you are reclaiming to cover a period of time or a set of products.
Position your business as the go-to brand for consumers to reclaim their carbon footprint. Use your platform to loop in customers to help crowdfund toward your goal or offer Clearloop directly to your customers as a way to build loyalty and maintain a relationship for years after the initial purchase.
Clearloop uses your one-time payment to trigger the construction of a new solar project. You pay a fee per pound of carbon you reclaim from the electric grid to fund the construction of new solar capacity. There is no long-term contract to purchase power.
Your company pays a fee per pound of carbon (CO2) to offset or “reclaim” your carbon footprint. Your investment is helping us clean up the grid and you receive credit for all of those carbon emissions reductions as a result.
Clearloop is offering a new option for companies to support the construction of more new solar projects as part of their climate action strategy. In response to the limitations of the PPA structure and other less tangible carbon offsets, we developed a new way of financing new clean energy projects that doesn't require companies to sign a long-term contract to purchase power, but instead puts the focus back on building this new clean energy infrastructure to clear out the most carbon emissions from the grid.
Your investment results in a branded solar project and the ownership of all of the environmental attributes you caused by cleaning up the grid. Through binding contracts and 3rd party verification, we ensure carbon emissions reductions are never double-counted.
When you partner with Clearloop, you’re addressing the carbon emissions associated with your products or services by creating new and additional clean power capacity to replace fossil fuel generation. The unit of measurement is either a carbon offset—representing a quantity of CO2 or a Renewable Energy Certificate representing 1 Megawatt-hour of electrical power. Clearloop uses new solar projects capacity—measured in watts—as the mechanism to reclaim the carbon emissions from the grid. Clearloop works with the most respected Solar Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and solar developers, like Silicon Ranch Corporation, which sell the power generated as brown power to local utilities. All environmental attributes go to you. Double claiming is avoided in the Clearloop program through rigorous controls, transparent data, legally binding contracts, and 3rd party verification.
Your investment with Clearloop is directly causing new solar projects to be built to clean up the carbon from our grid. Our new solar projects would not be built without your investment.
You are helping to finance new solar infrastructure (capacity) in the U.S. to clean up the grid and help replace carbon-generating fossil fuel plants, cleaning up our grid and helping to expand more equitable access to clean energy in the communities that need it the most. Currently, the uneven distribution of clean energy projects across the country means that the environmental and health impact of flipping on the lights is starkly different depending on where you live. In fact, more than 85% of solar development in the United States is concentrated in 10 states, which means that there are entire communities getting left behind without new investments like yours.Clearloop is helping more companies tap into the opportunity to build new clean energy infrastructure in the places where the grid mix continues to be dominated by fossil fuels. This investment leads to economic development in communities that are often forgotten or who’ve had to trade off their health for economic opportunity.
Provide clean energy for a lifetime. You’re not just offsetting corporate footprints, you’re building new solar projects that will permanently clear the carbon out of the U.S electric grid for the next 40 years.
Voluntary corporate investment in renewable energy has been a powerful force in decarbonizing our electric grid and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the fight against climate change. With Clearloop you're helping to replace fossil fuel electric generation with clean energy for at least the design life of the solar project which is 40 years. Before it is placed in operation, an independent engineer (IE) certifies that it is properly designed and constructed to create the planned amount of green power. Clean energy infrastructure investments spur economic growth in areas that need it the most.Voluntary corporate investment in renewable energy has been a powerful force in decarbonizing our electricity grid and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the fight against climate change. The branded solar project is engineered, constructed and warranted for a 40-year useful life. The power produced will replace fossil fuel generation before the end of that useful life.
The power produced from Clearloops projects takes into consideration the carbon footprint produced by the construction of the solar project, as well as include a conservative assurance pool of carbon reduction emissions that account for fluctuations in the power generated.
To build accountability into your partnership with Clearloop, you’re able to track individual investments and receive progress updates that show transparency and build loyalty with customers.
You will always be able to identify the specific solar panels dedicated to reclaiming your carbon footprint and brand them as you wish with customers, investors, and the public. The actual power produced is metered and reported monthly to you and allows you to document to any party the accuracy of the environmental claims it makes.
Beyond environmental attributes, Clearloop partners are investing in the health and economic well-being of American communities. By shifting the focus of corporate investments in renewable energy to regions of the country with dirty grids, we can achieve deeper, faster emissions reductions per installed capacity, bring good-paying clean energy jobs, and spur economic investment in regions of the country that vitally need them.
Your solar project will be constructed with U.S. materials creating construction and maintenance jobs for more Americans in that community. Not only will these projects result in clean energy construction jobs, the investment in infrastrucutre often results in the biggest tax infusion for a community in generations.
The uneven distribution of clean energy projects across the country means that the environmental and health impact of flipping on the lights are starkly different depending on where in the country you live. We're intentionally investing in communities where communities don't have to make a trade-off between economic investment and their health.
Clearloop’s initial solar projects will be placed in Silicon Ranch’s Regenerative Energy program with project land being used for grazing livestock to promote carbon sequestration in the soil and double-crop. We'll continue to amplify their pioneering work by helping to build more solar projects that are designed to go beyond sustaining and regenerate our planet's resources.
We're shifting the way corporate investments reduce carbon by bringing solar projects to regions of the country with disproportionately carbon-intense electricity generation (dirty grids). We believe doing things this way will achieve deeper, faster emissions reductions. It will also bring good-paying clean energy jobs and spur economic investment in regions of the country that vitally need them.
“As a supplier to large corporations with their own climate commitments, we felt like we could only go so far with our promise of eco-conscious products. Partnering with Clearloop lets us know that everything we do not only has a net-zero carbon footprint, but we’re having a positive impact on the environment by helping to build new solar projects. We can measure the carbon footprint of any consumer product and reclaim that value with a tangible solar project at the end of the transaction.”
